On 9 June 2025, in the evening, at the call of Palestine solidarity groups and supported by activists from Fridays for Future and an MP (The Left), over 8,500 people staged a protest in front of the Red Town Hall and at Alexander Square in Berlin - Mitte (Berlin) demanding the release of Yasemin Acar, a German activist aboard the Gaza aid ship 'Madleen', which was intercepted by the Israeli military, and to call for an end to German arms exports to Israel. Around 5 people gathered for a counter-protest, although the demands were not specified in the report.
